After initially undergoing surgery at Cedar Crest Hospital in Gudu District, Abuja, Yusuf, the only surviving son of President Muhammadu Buhari has been flown to Germany for more surgery.
Yusuf had treatment at the Abuja hospital after he broke his limbs and sustained head injury following a bike accident and his family decided on taking him to Germany to get specialist care.
Sources say Yusuf was driven to the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, Abuja, in an ambulance with oxygen support before he was flown out of the country early Thursday morning with an orthopaedic consultant with specialisation in head injuries on board the flight to monitor his condition.

Meanwhile, reactions have continued to trail Yusuf’s accident with former President Goodluck Jonathan saying himself and his family will continue to offer prayers for his soonest recovery.
In the same vein, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar wished Yusuf a speedy recovery when he wrote thus on his Twitter handle; “Our thoughts are with the first family – our family will be praying for you. We wish Yusuf a speedy recovery.”
However, former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode in his reaction used a Bible passage to pass across a message to the President.
He used the story of Pharaoh to tell Buhari to resign as the President of Nigeria. He noted that Yusuf Buhari’s accident is a sign from God to let the people of ‘Nigeria go’ by resigning.
