Man Who Impregnated His Sister-In-Law Find Out That Another Man Impregnated His Wife

This story actually sounds as a series in Telemundo or Zeeworld but I can assure you, it is not. This is real and I should add, it the real twist of fate. An Igando Customary Court in Lagos on Thursday dissolved a 12-year-old marriage between one Francis Stephen,45, and his wife, Ogechi,36, over impregnation of sister-in-law.

The President of the Court, Mr Adegboye Omilola, said the court had no choice, but to dissolve the union as the petitioner (wife) insisted on divorce in spite of its mediation and family members’ intervention.

“Since the petitioner insisted on divorce after several interventions, the court has no choice than to dissolve the union in spite of the fact that the husband still claims he loves his wife. “The court pronounced the marriage between Mrs Ogechi Stephen and Mr Francis Stephen dissolved today; both parties henceforth, cease to be husband and wife. “Both parties are free to go their separate ways without any hindrances or molestation,” the president said.

Earlier, Ogechi had told the court that her husband for whom she had four children, impregnated her younger sister in 2016.

“When I gave birth, I invited my sister to come and assist me to take care of the child, but I did not know that my husband had established a love relationship with her. “She confessed to me that my husband was responsible for her pregnancy when I discovered that she was pregnant,” she said.

The 36-year-old housewife accused her husband of throwing out her belongings and sent her to her village that he was no longer interested in the marriage. Ogechi, who described the man as a drunk, said: 

“he had accused me on several occasions of poisoning his food and would refuse to eat my food.” “My husband is a threat to my life; he always drinks to stupor. “He had threatened to burn me with fuel; in fact, he had used hot pressing iron to burn me.” She alleged that her brother-in-law also assaulted her sexually. “My husband’s brother used to touch my breasts and anytime I reported him to my husband, he did not caution him.

The petitioner prayed the court to terminate the marriage. In his submission, Stephen also accused his wife of infidelity, saying she was involved in a relationship with a man who impregnated her and she later attempted to abort it.

“I got to know when she got pregnant for one of her lovers and she went for an unsuccessful abortion. “On that fateful night, she was crying seriously and rolling on the floor that her stomach was paining her. I rushed her to the hospital where it was revealed that she had an abortion that was not properly done.

“Her lover came and he confessed to me that he was responsible for the pregnancy. “He told me that he only slept with my wife five times, but my wife denied it and said it was only four times and I paid the doctor to do it again. “Ogechi is also sleeping with her pastor,” he alleged.

He said that his wife accused his brother of assaulting her sexually because he caught her making love to that man that impregnated her on our matrimonial bed.

According to him, Ogechi packed out of the house at her own will.

“I never threw her belonging out nor sent her to her village. “My wife packed out last Dec. 27, 2016 when I told her we will be going to her village on December 29 for her to tell her parents about her adulterous life.” Stephen urged the court not to grant his wife’s wish for the dissolution of marriage, saying “I still love her because of the children.”

Nollywood actor Segun Arinze says Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, never got the respect he deserved in Nigeria.

According to him, the late Afrobeat icon was a prophet whose works encouraged other musicians in Nigeria to pass positive messages through music.

 

In an interview with the NAN on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, Arinze said the issues Fela addressed in his works were still relevant.

“He is a great icon and till date, his music still stands relevant. Most of those things he said in all his songs are prevalent till date. He was like a prophet but as the saying goes, a ‘prophet is not respected in his home town’, which is exactly what played out in his life.

We still keep hope that the society will continue to imbibe the messages he left behind for the much-needed change to come.”

  

Arinze also described Fela as a great artiste who understood how to use music to pass on messages. He said Fela started passing messages before other activists started using music to propagate worthy and good causes.

'My brother was never a cult member' - Sister of comedian lynched in Ikorodu

The younger sister of the comedian and Master of Ceremony lynched by residents of Ikorodu after mistaking him for a Badoo cult member has narrated how her brother was murdered.

The grieving lady, Elizabeth, explained in an interview with TVC that her brother, Chinedu Paul also known as MC Think Twice, was never a member of the gang and that he was even identified by some people among those who burnt him and his two friends who had gone to help him tow his broken-down vehicle.

Elizabeth who said her family is still to come to terms with the brutal murder of her brother and breadwinner, said he was the who invited his mechanic identified as Shola from the FESTAC Town area to help him tow his broken-down vehicle and the mechanic came with a friend but due to heavy traffic, they arrived Ikorodu late and were accosted by the vigilante members who decided to lynched them after finding incriminating items in their vehicle.

“Paul had been in the house throughout that Saturday until about 10:00 pm when he left for Ikorodu Garage to wait for the mechanic and rewirer who were coming all the way from FESTAC.

Shola the rewirer, used to be our neighbour here at Ikorodu before he moved to FESTAC after he got married in 2010.

He is a specialist in Honda cars and that was why my brother begged him to come and help fix his vehicle.

If not for the traffic they encountered along the way, they would have arrived Ikorodu earlier to tow the car with the SUV Shola brought from FESTAC.

But before they could get to where Paul’s car was parked, they were stopped by some guys on the road. One of the guys who stopped them told the others that he knew my brother and that they should be allowed to go.

The others refused and proceeded to search the vehicle. They saw the chain Shola wanted to use to tow the vehicle and brake oil in the boot of the SUV.

Immediately the guys saw these, they started shouting Badoo. Even though the other one said he knew my brother well in the area which another person among them also confirmed, they went ahead to kill the three of them by burning them alive.

By the time we got there by 3:00 am after receiving a call from somebody who witnessed the scene, it was too late. They had been burnt already.

Paul was not a cult member. He could have been because he always cautioned youths in our area against joining cults.

I, my mother, younger sister and Paul’s girlfriend could all have been killed by the same guys after they identified us to be his relatives.

Immediately they saw a small plastic containing gear oil in the boot of the car that conveyed us to the spot where the three of them were burnt, the guys started shouting Badoo family.

They shoved and pushed us about for several minutes and were going to descend heavily on us when one man ordered them to leave us, that if we were indeed Badoo members, we couldn’t have had the guts to come to that place. That was how we escaped being lynched that morning.

Paul was an easy-going person who would never hurt anyone. He was the only one we looked up to for our needs since our father died 14 years ago. He didn’t deserve to die in such a pathetic manner,” she lamented.

The murder of the Comedian is still raising dust in the Ikorodu area as more jungle justice has been recorded since his lynching on July 1, 2017, by the mob instead of handing him over to the police.

Buhari's Economy Has Killed Our Business', Lagos Prostitut*s Laments

 

Nigeria’s economy contracted for three consecutive quarters shooting inflation to an all- time high in 10-years in a roll. The situation in a roller-coaster effect affects adversely the illegal business of s*x in the country. ADEREMI OJEKUNLE who visited some of the daring Lagos brothels in this report, presents the anguish of the economic situation on s*x workers.

The pathway that leads to the Onore bar, a notorious brothel well known to residents of Otodo Gbame - a fishing community in Ikate, Eti-osa Local Government Area of Lagos - remains calm, antithetical to the usual bubbling lifestyle.

But for the music blaring from huge speakers, the main bar remains dry, dull as the sisters of the night who wait fruitlessly for would-be-customers.

Clad in skimpy see-through dresses, the prying eyes of the sex workers race back and forth, shaking their ‘assets’ to attract the few customers on patronage.

‘Babe, how far?’ one of them hail this journalist. ‘Come, I will do you well,’ Esther (not real name) added after an initial scorn. In seconds, this reporter was surrounded by the girls, advertising their market.

Harboured in chalets, hotels and guest houses, Lagos sex workers popularly called ‘Olosho’ have a direct livelihood sustenance with the country’s economy.

In December 2016, the Nation's consumer prices increased by 18.55 per cent year on year, the highest figure since October 2005. Also, unemployment figure rose to 13.9 per cent month under review. The report released by the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics showed that 555,311 persons that fall under labour force were unemployed.

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in November 2016, Nigeria's gross Domestic Product (GDP) contracted by 2.24 per cent in the third quarter which showed negative growth in the year as the economy shrunk by 0.36 per cent and 2.06 per cent in the first and second quarters respectively, Nigeria's economic woes can largely be attributed to the struggling oil sector, upon which the economy is dependent.

With these unfavourable economic figures, life has become tougher for many of the sex workers.

Economic downturn presents the odd means of survival

For Esther, 24, life in the street has been a bearable menace up until late 2015 when the economic situation began to bite on her ‘business.’

The Imo-state born mother of two lamented how ‘everything’ changed since economic regression.

“Since January 2016, customers no longer pay well, at least by December 2015 we are still making little cash. Before, some customers will dash you money after the service but we no longer have that. These days, some will even come and tell you they want to sleep with you overnight for just N1500.”

“Buhari don't want to help situation and all sort of things. Workers don't get their salaries when due. People saying hardship, time of Buhari. Things have been very hard for us this time.”

Like Esther, Ngozi Okoru, a mother of three has been unable to make both ends meet in recent times due to the economic situation. Having joined the sex business 3 years ago due to the sudden death of her mum and husband in 2013, she laments that the drawback in business has affected her such that the caretaker in charge of a room apartment where she pays a weekly rent of 7,000 has been on her neck for defaulting.

“We seldom pay house rent this period, the economy is so bad. Our director understands sometimes, he knows that the hardship is everywhere.”

“The truth is that I have kids and I have to take care of them. I lost my mum and husband in 2013 so I have to hustle to keep them going, at times, I plait hair for people to make little cash aside the night hustling. I am here to fight for my children, even though my parent couldn’t do that for me, I cannot let my children suffer”, she concluded affirmatively.

Few cash chasing expensive goods

Ngozi discussed how she managed to scale through the hurdles of economic hardship and sustaining the double digit inflation since first quarter of 2016. From a single meal per day to drastic cut in wears and reduction in price of sex for customers.

She said: “I have been eating once in a day mostly, because you have to watch before you do anything. Before recession, I do spend like N1500 per day but now I only manage N500 because our customers refuse to spend like before.”

For Bukola, a young Yoruba lady who trades sex at the Obalende arena, Lagos, said this reporter must have sex with her else she won’t grant the interview requested.

The arena is well known for its notoriety as hundreds of sex workers earn their daily bread between the hours of 7 and 12 a.m. daily.

To a newbie, the area is just another sex fantasy market as none of the sex workers own a room to herself but a closer relationship with them reveals more.

The price for sex starts from N500 upwards and the ‘customer’ will pay another N200 or N300 to use the small rooms crafted in plywood in most of the ancient buildings around.

Business has become drab lately and this partly explains why Bukola insisted on sex after entering one of the rooms with this reporter. In the end, she decided to answer some of the interview questions in her local dialect.

“I come here every day from Badagry every day to do and living this kind of life is not my choice. Life situations force me into this. Before I was introduce to this by a friend, I used to sell petty items in front of my house but trade has been so low that I can no longer provide food for myself and my daughter again. That is why I decided to make extra income here.

While the interview lasted, the owner of a popular chalet busted in one of the room, ranting loudly: “what are you guys doing there over an hour.

“Please come outside and allow another customer in. Just today that we have more customers, you people should not come and spoil market for us,” he said making a resounding effect as he shut the door.

Bukola also lamented on the low patronage as most of her old customers have decided to stay off the vicinity because of economic trouble currently facing the country.

“The economy is not good at all. If I have means to sustain my kid and pay house rent, I will stop this work.”

Buhari should help us!

Many believed that the administration of present would have helped to cater for the economy which largely depends on the survival of any business in Nigeria, even for the night workers. However, this seem not to be the case as lamentations takes over many of their conversations.

Some of the sex workers wants the federal government to operate an economic policy which will favour all.

For Bukola, President Buhari should maintain a stable price level for goods and services. “Before now, I make between N8, 000 to N12, 000 but this time, I barely make up to N2000 in a day.”

“I want the president to help us. If things are not expensive, our customers will be able to save money and make it trickle to us too.

Esther, on her own part wants the President to maintain a good economic policy and as well legalise the sex work in Nigeria. She explains how economic hardship has force working class ladies to sex hawking.

“Presently, many ladies who are employed have joined us. They come back from work, dress up and hit the street. I don’t blame them, some of them are owed months of salaries and they need to survive. The economy is bad, the president should help us. I also want Buhari to legalise prostitution. That will allow us to have a balanced price for our services.” she said.

40-Yr-Old mechanic in court for allegedly stealing truck parts worth N600K

The prosecutor said the complainant gave his truck to a mechanic to repair but was vandalised while it was still under repairs.

 

A 40-year-old man, Lekan Oladeinde, was on Friday brought before an Abeokuta Magistrates’
Court for allegedly stealing motor parts valued at N600,000 at a mechanic village.

Oladeinde, whose address is unknown, is facing a charge of stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp. Sunday Eigbejiale, had told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 17 at 12.00 p.m. at Mechanic Village, Obada-Oko near Abeokuta.

Eigbejiale said the accused, a mechanic operating at the mechanic village, alleged stole truck tyres valued at N500,000, a battery valued at N65,000, a hydraulic jack valued at N9,000 and N22,750 cash, all valued at N600,000, property of the complainant, Mr Adeogun Ademola.

The prosecutor said the complainant gave his truck to a mechanic to repair, and while it was still under repairs, the accused removed some parts and sold them.

The offence contravened Section 390 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun 2006.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Ruling on the bail application of the accused, Magistrate Oriyomi Sofowora granted him N250,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

She said the sureties must be gainfully employed and also show evidence of tax payment to the government.

She adjourned the case until July 17 for hearing.

'How Evans lured us into his kidnap gang' - Members

Three members of the notorious kidnap gang led by Evans have been telling the police how they joined the gang and their level of participation.

 

Three key members of the deadly kidnap gang led by Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, alias Evans, have opened up on how the notorious kingpin lured them into the gang and ended up using them for his inglorious gains while giving them peanuts.

The gang members, Suoyo Paul, a 42-year-old Bayelsa State-born ex-militant, confessed to be the armourer of the gang who supplied most of the guns and ammunitions used by the gang while  Chukwuemeka Ikenna Bosah, a 32-year-old, said he was led into the gang because he needed money for his wife who needed to undergo a Caesarian Section operation.

Another key member of the gang, Chukwumah Nwosu, a 42-year-old indigene of Aba, Abia State, Evans allegedly lured him back from his base in Vietnam to join the gang which was responsible for many high profile abductions where millions of dollars were collected from victims with Evans living in great affluence with mansions in highbrow Magodo Phase II GRA in Lagos, and two other mansions in Ghana.

First to speak was Suoyo Paul:

"I am an ex-militant under the Amnesty Programme put in place by the Federal Government when Evans contacted me to supply his gang with guns and ammunitions.

I am from Bayelsa State. I was being paid N65,000 monthly for the amnesty they granted me but my master used to deduct N10,000 from it every month.

I then went into sea diving job for which I was paid sums ranging from N50,000 to N500,000 for items recovered. But while working as divers, all of us were still in the militant camps at Bayelsa, Calabar, and Delta.

At times, we would break pipelines or kidnap oil workers, especially foreigners working with oil companies, and they used to pay ransom fast.

It was my master, the late George Soboma, who owned the camp and the guns we used for militancy. We got annoyed with the oil companies because they did not care to employ indigenes of the states or develop the areas.

The amnesty was granted us in 2009, during the late President Yar'adua’s regime. In 2010, I met Evans because he used to come to the camp to collect guns from my master, Soboma.

He would come to the militants’ camp with Barrister Yellow to meet Soboma. I do not have Evans’ phone number and he does not have my number too.

I was surprised when Evans later called me. He asked me about my children and I told him that my master had been killed.

He asked me to text the number of the gang’s second in command identified as Peter. He said he would like to see us in Lagos. He sent N30,000 for our journey to Lagos.

When we alighted at Cele Bus Stop at Ijesha (Lagos), one elderly man came and took us to one hotel at Iyana Ejigbo area. We stayed there for two weeks without seeing Evans.

I did not go for any kidnapping with Evans. I only supplied him guns. It was the number he used to call me that the police traced and arrested me.”

Bosah confessed that he decided to join the gang when things became difficult for him and he could not raise the amount needed for his wife to undergo an operation when she was pregnant with their third child.

Explaining his involvement with the gang, Bosah said:

“I used to manage a restaurant at No. 9, Yakoyo Road, Sabu, which is in Ogun State. I later traveled to Ghana to engage in 419 business (obtaining by false pretense).

While in Ghana, luck smiled on me one day and I hit $43,000. I rented a shop for my wife and also rented a house where I lived with my family which included two sets of twins. I also opened a bigger restaurant than the one I ran in Nigeria.

I was doing well until six months later when the owner of the building where I resided gave me a quit notice, claiming that I paid the rent to the wrong person. The matter affected my business so badly that I decided to relocate to Nigeria.

When I returned to Nigeria, I started doing Internet fraud to survive. I told a white woman who was desperate to marry a black man that I would marry her, and she started taking care of me.

She was sending me a lot of money until some enemies of progress called her and told her that I was married with a set of twins. She cut off the relationship.

Unfortunately for me, I was penniless at the time she cut off the relationship. The worst happened when my pregnant wife went for ante-natal care and the doctor told her that the only safe way she could be delivered of the baby was a Cesarean Section operation because the baby was inside the Fallopian tube.

When I narrated my plight to my friend, Nwosu, he told me that there was a friend of his who had just returned from abroad. He assured me that he would talk to the man to help me with money for the operation my wife intended to undergo. That was at Cele Bus Stop (Lagos).

We entered a Keke (commercial tricycle) to Jakande Estate. There, we met Evans who came in a Lexus SUV. This was around the year 2015.

Evans told us to enter his car and I saw some men with fez caps. I also saw one of them in the back seat give a gun to another one in the front seat with Evans.

Before I knew it, the driver used the Lexus SUV to block a car and they ordered the big man in the car to come down at gun point. When the man came out, he fainted.

Evans then ordered Nwosu and I to carry the big man and put him inside his (Evans’) vehicle and they zoomed off.

While we were putting the man inside Evans’ vehicle, Nwosu stole his gold ring. He later gave it to me to sell in order to solve my wife’s problem. I sold the ring for N60,000 and used the money to settle the bill for the operation.

When Evans discovered that we stole the victim’s ring, he became angry with me. He gave Nwosu the sum of N1.5 million to give to me as my share of the ransom, but Nwosu deducted N50,000 from it.”

For Nwosu, he had traveled to Vietnam to hustle when his business collapsed in Nigeria and it was Evans whom he knew before he traveled called on him to come back to Nigeria to join the gang.

“I am a native of Aba, Abia State. I traded in female wears and accessories like bags and shoes before I met Evans in 2014 at Domino’s Pizza, Apo Junction, Festac Town, Lagos, while he selling fuel and engine oil in the black market at Alafia.

I later went to Yaba to sell shoes. I traveled to Vietnam for two years. When I came back in January 2015, I met Evans again. We discussed drug trafficking business and I told him how I lost all my money to drug business.

He then promised to sponsor me on drug trafficking trip, but he said I should give him some time.

The next day, Evans called me and when I met him, he told me to enter his car but I did not know that we were going for a kidnap operation.

I only realized when the vehicle blocked a man and Evans and the others got out, pulled the man out of his car, and drove away with him.

When we and the other people in the car had passed Second Rainbow Junction, Evans told me to join another car that was following his SUV.

On getting to Villa Park area, they doubled crossed another vehicle and took a man from it and we left. On getting to Cele Bus Stop, Evans asked Ikenna, the driver of the other car, to drop me.

He gave each of us N1.5 million. Unfortunately, the person I gave the money to help me procure a South Korea visa embezzled it. I later gave money to one agent and he also bolted with it. I was later arrested.

I am married with three children. My problem now is that I gave my wife only N3,000 before I went to Abuja. I don’t know how they are managing to eat now. Tell the police that we have repented and should be given a second chance.”

Man in court for allegedly raping physically challenged girl

A 27-year-old man, Michael Ubani, who allegedly raped and stole from a 19-year-old physically challenged girl, was on Thursday remanded in Kirikiri Prison, Lagos.

The Magistrate, Mr M. A. Etti, who gave the ruling at an Apapa Magistrate Court, said the accused should remain in custody pending when his bail application would be considered.
The accused, who resides at Olodi Apapa area of Apapa, Lagos, pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge of rape, assault and stealing.
Earlier the prosecutor, Sgt. Olusegun Kokoye told the court that the accused committed the offences on June 5 at his residence.
Kokoye alleged that the complainant was sleeping in her apartment when Ubani forcefully entered her room and raped her.
“The complainant said that the accused dragged her to the floor and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her."

The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 172, 287 and 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 260 prescribes a 14 -year jail term upon conviction for rape.
The case was adjourned till June 27, for mention.

Shame as man gets stuck inside married woman during sex

A married woman and her secret lover were given the disgrace of their lives after they got stuck together during sex.

 

It was a show of shame and public disgrace in a Kenyan region after a man got stuck inside a married woman during sex inside a hotel called Explor-Inn.

The Nairobi Daily reports that the married woman and her secret lover had gone to a hotel to have sex but after the tryst, the man could not withdraw his manhood from the woman's private part and after trying for a long time, they had to cry out and call the attention of the hotel staff.

   When the hotel staff broke into the room, they too could not help the pair and had to call in outside help which further exposed them to public ridicule as many people gathered to watch the show of shame.

The crowd that gathered brought out the couple into the street and placed them on a cart pushed along the street to a native doctor's shrine where they could be separated.

   According to witnesses, the husband of the woman must have placed a potent juju called 'Magun' (an African charm which is applied to punish adulterers) to check her infidelity.

OMG! Pastor caught with human skulls remanded in prison

A 55-year-old man, Prophet Alimi Isaiah who was allegedly caught with human skull and a horn in his possession has been ordered to be remanded in Agodi Prison, Ibadan over his failure to meet up with the bail condition.
Alimi was arraigned on Monday on one-count charge, number MI/1731c/2017, for possessing items suspected ‎to be intended for ritual purposes.

‎ 

According to the prosecutor, Mr. Sunday Ogunremi, the accused on the 5th of May, 2017 at about 09:10pm at Sango Road, Ibadan magisterial district did unlawfully have in his possession one human skull.

Ogunremi said the offences contravened sections 329(A) Criminal Code Cap 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria 2000.
‎The accused, in his confessional statement, had told the police that he is a Prophet at Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, but that he learned machine repair job, but he did not complete his apprenticeship before his friend lured him to join the pastoral job.

He confessed to using charms to perform his prophet and pastoral works because his father is a herbalist, adding that he uses the horn to control people that come to him for prayer in other to collect huge amount of money from them.

He said: “I use the horn to control people that come to me for prayer in other to collect huge amount of money from them.
“I got the human skull from a particular area of Lagos when they brought bulldozer to bulldoze the street, so I took it from there for personal use because I know it will be useful to me.

“I was arrested on my way to Ibadan from Lagos at the stop and search point. I was in the public transport when the police stopped our vehicle and started searching our bags before I was caught”.
In her ruling, the Chief magistrate, Mrs. Abiola Richard granted him bail in the sum of N75, 000.00 with two sureties in like sum
Richard said ‎one surety must be a level 8 civil service officer and the second surety must be his blood relation with National Identification card.
She adjourned the case till June 28th, 2017 for further hearing.

As at the time of filling the report, the accused was yet to meet up with the bail condition and he has been remanded in Agodi priso‎n.

“Also, the girl was still a child that
no sane man will lust after.” The petitioner told the court that on
a particular occasion, the little girl
confessed to the police that her
father usually tie her hands before
having sex with her. Ilo said that she had to move out of
her husband’s house because he
was always messing up the house,
especially when he was drunk. She said, “My husband always
urinates around the house
whenever he is drunk; sometimes
on the bed or on the floor of the
room. “Worst of all, one day he woke up
in the night and went straight to
the kitchen, opened the bucket of
drinking water and urinated into
it.”

She also said her husband does not
provide food for the family, adding
“not even his child’s school
fees.” The petitioner begged the court to
dissolve the marriage and grant
her custody of the only child of the
union. The respondent was not present in
court. The judge, Jemilu Jega reiterated
that the respondent was served on
three different occasions but
refused to appear in court. He adjourned the case till next month for judgment.
